Privacy Policy

Effective date  October 23, 2026

01.  About this policy

Infinity Employment Inc. ("Infinity", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you visit infinityemployment.ca, apply for work, request staff or contact us about our recruitment and staffing services.

We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act where it applies. Employees and assignment workers may receive additional notices about payroll, benefits, workplace records and other employment matters. This website policy does not replace those notices.

02.  Information we collect

The information we collect depends on your interaction with us. We limit collection to information reasonably needed for the purposes we explain.

  • Applicants and candidates: name, email address, telephone number, location, résumé, employment history, qualifications, certifications, job preferences, shift availability and information about your eligibility to work in Canada.

  • Screening and placement: interview notes, relevant skills assessments, reference information and other role-specific verification information. We explain additional checks and obtain authorization where required before conducting them.

  • Client contacts: name, employer, job title, business contact details, workplace address, staffing requirements and correspondence. Information used only to communicate with someone about their business role may be treated differently under applicable privacy law.

  • Website visitors: technical information and consent preferences described in section 6.

Do not include your Social Insurance Number, banking details, passport, government identification copies or unnecessary medical information in an initial website application, résumé or social media lead form. If sensitive information is needed later for a lawful purpose, we will explain why and how to provide it through an appropriate process. Please obtain permission before providing someone else’s reference contact details.

03.  Why we use personal information

We use relevant information to respond to inquiries; assess qualifications and suitability for opportunities; arrange interviews, screening and placements; communicate about applications and assignments; respond to staffing requests; maintain accurate recruitment records; protect our services against misuse; and meet legal obligations. If you separately choose to receive promotional messages, we use your selected contact details for that purpose. Optional marketing is not a condition of applying for work or requesting staff.

04.  When we share personal information

We share information only as appropriate for an identified purpose, with consent where required, or where permitted or required by law. Recipients may include:

  • Prospective employers and staffing clients: relevant résumé details, experience, qualifications, availability and placement information to assess suitability or administer an assignment. We explain the proposed disclosure and seek authorization where required. We do not provide a candidate’s SIN or banking details to a client merely to evaluate an application.

  • Screening providers and references: information needed for an authorized, relevant check. Additional screening notices or authorizations may apply.

  • Service providers: organizations supporting website hosting, form submissions, recruitment records, email, document storage and related administration. Their access must be limited to the work they perform for us, with appropriate privacy and security requirements.

  • Professional advisers, regulators and other authorities: where reasonably necessary to obtain advice, meet legal obligations or exercise or defend legal rights, as permitted by law.

A client that receives your information may have its own privacy obligations and notice. Ask us if you have questions about a proposed submission or want to restrict sharing with a particular organization.

05.  Consent and your choices

We explain the purposes of collection at or before collection and obtain the form of consent appropriate to the information and circumstances, unless the law permits another basis. Consent to necessary recruitment activity is separate from optional advertising or promotional communications. Merely visiting our website does not authorize every use of your information.

You may contact us to withdraw consent or change your preferences, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. We will explain the consequences. For example, we may be unable to assess an application or submit you for an opportunity without information needed for that service. Withdrawal does not undo a disclosure already lawfully made or require deletion of records we must retain.

06.  Website technology and cookies

Browser controls may let you restrict or delete cookies, although some essential functions may be affected. Where consent is required for optional tracking, we will provide an appropriate choice. Tracking that depends on consent must follow that choice. Advertising platforms may also collect information through their own services, subject to their privacy notices.

07. Storage and processing outside Canada

Personal information processed by our service providers may be stored or accessed outside Canada, including in [INSERT VERIFIED COUNTRIES, OR STATE CANADA ONLY IF VERIFIED]. Information processed abroad may be accessible to courts, law enforcement or other authorities under local law. We remain accountable for information transferred to service providers for processing and use appropriate contractual or other measures. Contact us for information about our providers and cross-border practices.

08.  How we protect information

We use physical, organizational and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of personal information. Access is restricted to people who need it for authorized duties, and service providers are expected to apply appropriate protections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach occurs, we assess it and take the reporting, notification and other steps required by applicable law.

09. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the identified purposes and applicable legal requirements. Relevant factors include whether an application or assignment is active, whether you have agreed to consideration for future opportunities, applicable employment and tax record-keeping obligations, and the need to address a complaint or legal claim.

You may ask us to stop considering you for future opportunities or request deletion of information we no longer need. Deletion is subject to applicable retention obligations and legal restrictions. When information is no longer required, we securely destroy it, erase it or make it anonymous, as appropriate. Backup copies are managed through the applicable backup retention cycle and protected against ordinary use pending deletion.

10.  Access corrections and complaints

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, how it has been used or disclosed, request access, or ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information. We may reasonably verify your identity before responding. Access and correction rights are subject to applicable legal exceptions.

Where PIPEDA applies, we generally respond to an access request within 30 days. If a permitted extension or an exception is necessary, we will explain it as required by law. Contact the privacy contact below with a request, question or complaint. If your concern is not resolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or another authority with jurisdiction.

11.  Third party platforms and links

Our website may link to third party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. If you submit an application or inquiry through a Meta lead form, job board or another platform, that platform’s notice also applies to its handling of your information. This policy applies to our handling of information we receive through those channels. The notice displayed at submission should explain the relevant information flow.

12.  Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services, practices or legal requirements. The effective date will be updated. Where a change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it before applying the change to your information.
